Detailed Itinerary:
05:00 – The tour guide will pick you up at Villa Hue, 04 Tran Quang Khai Street, and begin the journey to Tam Giang Lagoon by motorbike or car.
Arrive at Chuon Lagoon pier, explore the largest lagoon ecosystem in Southeast Asia, and marvel at the breathtaking moment when the horizon slowly turns from purple to orange and red as the sun rises. Here, you will also experience the lively morning market, buying seafood directly from local fishing boats.
06:15 – Visit Chuon Village Market – An Truyen, enjoy the bustling morning atmosphere, taste the local specialty “banh khoai ca kinh” (crispy pancake with fish), and experience “plastic-free shopping” to help spread the message of sustainable living.
07:00 – Board a boat to experience fishing activities such as casting nets and lifting traps, while admiring the unique lagoon landscape with its fish corrals and bamboo fences. Then, choose one of two exciting options:
Option 1: Stop at a floating restaurant in the lagoon, where locals will guide you to make banh khoai and cook a delicious seafood porridge. While enjoying your dishes, listen to stories of An Truyen village, such as the village ancestor worship festival in July (lunar calendar) or the “Chay Voi Rebellion” under King Tu Duc. Don’t forget to capture some stunning photos here!
Option 2: Return to Villa Hue by car, where you will join an intimate cooking class. The chef at Villa Hue will share tips for preparing flavorful dishes using fresh ingredients and seafood you personally selected at Chuon Lagoon. The result will be a unique, unforgettable lunch that you prepare yourself in the warm atmosphere of Hue Purple Restaurant.
